David grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he was heavily involved in all sorts of sports. He was a several time state champion swimmer, even at the early age of 10. He was involved with professional baseball tryouts for the Cleveland Indians and Baltimore Orioles at the age of 16, and was practicing regularly with the Raleigh-Durham Skyhawks professional football team from the World League when he was 17. David went on to play all three sports (football/baseball/swimming) in college before finally graduating from North Carolina State University in 1999. In 2001, David's USS swimming times would have ranked him in the top 5 in the world in USS Master's in 2 events. At Master's Nationals, David finished top 3 in the Nation in both of the events. After college, he played a brief stint in the Colorado Rocky baseball organization, was in the Arena Football League for the Albany Firebirds, and was in the Washington Redskins tryout camp. He currently holds the World Record for the longest "Extra Point" kick in football. He continued to play on the California Predators football team through the 2003 Arena Season, and and was named to the All-Star team as a defensive back and wide receiver. In 2006, David was named to MSBL All Star baseball team and played alongside Jose Canseco, Brett Saberhagen, and Matt Whisenant. David continued to balance his acting and sports career. After starring in a regional television series in North Carolina, he made the move to Los Angeles and began working right away by landing a small role in the blockbuster hit Pearl Harbor. He later became the "Hunk" in the Britney Spears video Oops, I Did It Again. After other small roles in television, David started landing film roles. In 2002, he had main or significant roles in four feature films, and became part of the new ABC television show, Threat Matrix. He has continued on in Television and Film to guest star along side actors such as Samuel L. Jackson, Ice Cube, Scott Speedman, Rob Lowe, Tom Sizemore, Blair Underwood and Heather Locklear. He received some notoriety for his role on The OC as the Angry Trucker Hat Guy in the infamous Vegas Strip episode and his work with Jonathan Breck (Jeepers Creepers I and II) in JFETS. In 2006, David, along with Kiko Ellsworth and BJ Hendricks, founded Psycho Rock Productions.
